I absolutely fell in love with the wonderful characters from Butternut Creek. I grew up in a very small town in central Texas and it reminds me so much of home! I love all three books and wondered if there would be another one on the horizon?
I happened onto ‘The Welcoming Committee of Butternut Creek’ book on CD recently at the Marble Falls Library…needed a CD for a trip. I loved it so much I drove around many extra blocks to keep listening to it, AND I ended up taking it in the house and putting the cd in my cd player! 🙂 I have recommended it to the assistant librarian, my bff, and my cousin, thus far. (bookworms)
I HAD to find out what happened to the characters, and I was desperately wanting Adam to get married…and hoped you were writing a sequel!
Then I got on the internet and found 2 MORE of the Butternut Creek books, which I downloaded to my KINDLE. I ignored my housework and chores and sensible bedtime to finish both books!
My favorite things about your Butternut Creek books:
*exactly like a small town, and I just flipped when the characters went to Marble Falls, Llano, etc. and San Saba, Liberty Hill, etc. were mentioned. This is my stomping ground! Yay!
* I wanted a ‘clean’ read that is knit together with faith.
* I feel like I know the characters. I want to bump into them at the H.E.B. or visit with them over pie! I laughed and giggled throughout the book…and I cried with Gussie.
Keep up the good work and the God work!
Many thanks, Patricia. Hope you enjoy the other 2 Butternut Creek books. We lived at Buchanan Dam for 7 years. My husband was minister at the Christian CHurch in Burnet and I taught at BHS–so I would hope you recognized some of these people!
Hello Jane,
We have enjoyed your Butternut creek 3 books.
We have read them as a family. My husband and our son and I.
Will you be writing any more books in the series.
We would love to read more.
Thanks

I’m sorry I’ve let so many years pass before answering you! This got by me. I have worked on the 4th book but health problems have interfered. Some day, I hope!

Jane I have been looking up old friends and classmates. Were you and George students at LTS in the 60’s? Tom Russell
Yes. I’ll email you.
